Hi. You too! re:

Don't dogs stay away from things that are not good for them, as a rule?
Not that i've heard of. They can be like babies, wanting to put everything in their mouths (not just puppies, either).
Do dogs eat poop? Sometimes, Yes. Shoes, chocolate? Yes & yes. An onion, if you gave them one? The answer is usually yes.
& none of those are good for them. On walks with my own pooch she wants to smell every doo-doo we come across and every lamp post or bush that was wee'd on by another. She might even take a nibble of poop if i didnt pull her away from it.
Point is, they dont often stay away from what isnt good for them. Just ask my last pair of flip-flops.
(btw my chihuahua didnt do that one)
anyway. my pup loves catnip, oddly enough. She will sometimes munch on the herbs i've planted, but doesnt go nuts with them and seems to be able to take everything in moderation (unlike Mummy sometimes lol)
She loves raw sliced sweet potato and alfalfa sprouts.
I'd eventually like to get a food dehydratror to make her (and some of her k9 friends sweet potato jerky treats and some chicken ones (they never come out right in the oven).
